The spread within that range is wide, so we test at your hose bib before sizing. A system built for 15 grains and a system built for 25 are not the same specification.
Tuscany Hills, Canyon Hills and the newer hillside tracts
The newer hillside developments including Tuscany Hills and Canyon Hills went up recently enough that softener loops are common. Look for two capped copper or PEX stubs near where the main line enters the garage.
With a loop we tie straight in, which avoids cutting the main and routing a new regeneration drain. It is the difference between a few hours and most of a day.
Lakeland Village, downtown and the older properties
The historic downtown streets and the older properties through Lakeland Village are a different building era with no loop roughed in. Those installs are more involved and we price them accordingly.
Some rural properties around the lake are on private wells rather than district supply. Well water can carry iron and sediment along with hardness, and a softener alone will not resolve iron staining. If you are on a well we test first and size filtration to the result.
